President's Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2007 Parade of Homes. Not only are these homes beautiful but they represent the latest in cutting edge technology, design and construction. The West Texas Home Builders Association proudly presents the 52nd edition of what is the latest in architectural beauty and energy efficiency.

I want to congratulate our builders for their exceptional quality of design and workmanship. During your tour, you’ll notice every builder’s attention to detail and craftsmanship. The same integrity of construction is demonstrated by each of them in every home through out the year. Our Association recognizes the importance of serving the community as a resource on housing. You will find this event useful in searching for a new home, building a dream house or simply identifying ideas and suggestions.

Take special note of our charitable recipient, “My Father’s House”, an incredible ministry dedicated to assisting young women rebuild their lives. Healing and hope is restored to lives once broken and forsaken through poor judgment or abandonment. The resources of My Father’s House enable young women to re-establish their lives and truly make a difference. The Parade of Homes is proud to be associated with life changing purposes. We are committed to continue our involvement in charitable efforts throughout the South Plains. I’m please to say the home building industry in West Texas remains strong and healthy. The residential housing industry will deliver over 1000 new homes again this year. This continues an upward trend significantly above the 20 year trend line. New homes in the area translate into a contribution that has about $1 billion impact in the overall economy.

As the 50th President to have served the WTHBA, I share the dedication of our membership to provide safe, affordable, quality housing as witnessed by our mission statement.

Our fine Association representing builders, developers, remodelers and associates seek to serve you with exceptional service and craftsmanship. Thank you for making this a memorable event.
