George McMahan, who many will remember as the longtime owner of Honda of Lubbock, is the developer of Bacon Crest. George sold the Honda business in 1996 to devote himself fulltime to developing another popular subdivision, Papalote South.
George and Linda, his wife of forty-two years, have two children, Wayne and Julie. Wayne is currently operating McMahan Construction and building rental duplexes. Julie is the owner and operator of Four Paws Pet Resort, a luxury pet boarding facility.
George is a member of the West Texas Home Builders Association and serves on the Developer's Council and the Board of Directors.
As a motorcycle dealer, George served as President of the Texas Motorcycle Dealer Association. Recently, he served as President of the Texas State Championship Enduro Circuit for four years. George and Linda still actively ride motorcycles, ATVs and dirt bikes and enjoy travelling in their RV.
